Frequently asked questions
How long does the whole process take?
Most projects follow the same general timeline:
What’s included in the $100 Home Energy Audit?
Your audit includes a blower door test, infrared imaging, combustion safety testing, and a full inspection of insulation, HVAC systems, and ductwork. We’ll also provide a custom report and upgrade plan designed to improve comfort and reduce energy bills.
Will the work disrupt my daily routine?
We work entirely in-house, so our team coordinates every step to minimize disruptions. While certain upgrades (like insulation or duct sealing) may require access to specific areas of your home, we aim to keep noise, mess, and downtime to a minimum.
How do rebates work and when will I get them?
Once your upgrades are complete, we handle all rebate paperwork for you. Depending on your utility provider, most homeowners receive their rebate check within 6–8 weeks after final approval.
Do I have to be home during the work?
For the initial audit, yes — we’ll need access to every part of your home. For the upgrades, you don’t need to be home the entire time, but we recommend being available at the start and end of each workday for progress updates and final walk-throughs.
